A single reading cookie.

The reading room keeps one local storage entry, lc_cookie, that records your answer to the consent banner. We use it so the banner does not reappear each visit. We do not place advertising cookies and we do not run third-party trackers.

What we store

Only your consent choice (accepted or declined) and, if you start a track, the reading position so the next volume unlocks as you finish each one. Both live in your browser's local storage, not on our server.

Keeping only essential

If you choose "Only essential" on the banner, we keep the consent record and nothing else. Track progress is not recorded. You can change your mind by clearing local storage for this site.

Fonts

Headings and body text load from Google Fonts. That request is sent to Google's servers so the font files can be served; Google receives your IP address for the duration of the request. We do not control Google's use of that data.
