How reading is priced.

The reading room works like a small lending library. Most of the shelf is open to anyone who walks in. The member track is the borrowing card — it lets you take graded exercises home and ask the desk a question when a note stops making sense.

The open shelf — free

Every article, every deep dive, and the full glossary are free to read. No account is needed to open a volume. You may read, quote, and link. The only thing the open shelf does not include is grading and the desk appointment.

The member track — ₩39,000 per quarter

The member track adds reviewer-graded exercises to the Runtime Track and the other guided tracks. A reviewer reads your answers and sends back notes within five working days. You also get one desk appointment per quarter — a thirty-minute call with a writer on the track you are reading.

The price is a quarterly borrowing fee. It is not a subscription that auto-renews; we send a reminder before each quarter and you decide whether to borrow the next set.

What each tier unlocks

Open shelf: reading, glossary, cross-links, offline export. Member track: everything in the open shelf, plus graded exercises, plus the quarterly desk appointment, plus early access to a volume while it is still being reviewed.

Why it is priced this way

Reading should not be paywalled; the desk's time and the reviewer's time should. The borrowing fee pays the people who grade and answer, and keeps the open shelf open. If the fee is a barrier, write to the desk and we will arrange it.
